How big can we order a banner? - Any size banner is possible, there are no limitations. We print the banner in tiles and high requency weld them together, the join are seamless. What is my sign going to look like? - We will never proceed with production of your sign until you have seen scaled artwork and have signed off on the proof. You will also be shown a sample of the material from which we will produce your sign. There will be no surpries for you. How long will my sign take? - You will be given a date of completion on ordering the sign. As a general rule of thumb allow 5 working days for most general signage ie: banners, 'a' frames, magnetic signs etc. For larger sign projects schedules will be discussed prior to work commencing. Is there any extra cost to include pictures on my sign? - No, and we encourge pictures. All our signs are printed in full colour so to add images etc is not a problem. The only cost you might incur is artwork if we have to manipulate or improve any images. What type of files do you accept? - To produce high quality digital prints we need high quality art work. Please help us deliver you the highest quality digital prints possible by providing us files setup to the following specificiations: InDesign CS4, Photoshop CS4, Illustrator CS4, Freehand MX, QuarkXpress 6, CorelDraw 8, PDF's and Office V.X (not recommended) How far away do you go for installations? - We cover the entire state for installation work. If we cannot get there, we know someone close by. Do I need council approval for my sign? You need council approval if you are installing a new sign but if you are just replacing or updating an exisitng sign you do not. We can advise you on this when we meet. We can also take of the application for you. We have included the development guidlines form City of Charles Sturt for your information. See the Signage Development Information. How long will my sign last? - All Signlab printed signage is protected from the elements with overlaminates. Given the many variables we face with signage longevity it is very hard to put a timeframe on it, but we can confidently say all full colour printed signs that are out in the elements 24/7 will look great for a minimum of 3 years and painted signage approx. 5 years. After this time the signs will begin to fade and it wil be time to refresh them. Do you do artwork? - Yes, we have an in-house graphic designer "Ashley" who you can sit down with anytime and go over your artwork on screen. Do you do painted signs or traditionl signwriting? - Yes, we have three 'old school' brush and ladder men here at Signlab. Traditional signwriting is not very common anymore due to the introduction of digital printers and cutters but there is still a need ie: warehouse walls, brick work etc. |
